Customs Court hears 17 cases on Saturday

LAHORE: Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 17 different cases which were scheduled for hearing, including pre-arrest bail pleas and recording of statements of the witnesses.

The special court has adjourned many cases, including hearing of bail pleas of two suspects until the next hearing. Customs court adjourned pre-arrest bail pleas of Muhammad Shahzad and Asghar Ali in tax evasion cases. Both were wanted in tax evasion cases in Lahore and Faisalabad.

Cases scheduled for hearing on Monday including tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics. A case of narcotics was also adjourned for next week for recording of statements. The court also proceeded on statements of witnesses on three different cases on the day.

The cases, including those of tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics, were scheduled for the day’s hearing.
