LAHORE: Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling Saturday heard 17 different cases, which were scheduled for hearing, including pre-arrest bail pleas and recording of statements of the witnesses.
The special court has adjourned many cases including, hearing of bail pleas of three suspects, which were adjourned until next hearing. The court adjourned bail pleas of Muhammad Sadiq and Waris Ali in tax evasion cases. Both are wanted in tax evasion cases to Lahore and Faisalabad regions.
The cases scheduled for hearing on Saturday include tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics. A case of narcotics against Sheikh Akbar was also adjourned. The court also recorded statements of witnesses in three cases.
