Customs Court hears 18 cases on Friday

LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 18 important cases on Friday and adjourned most of the cases until the next hearing.

At least 17 cases of different types, including pre-arrest bail pleas filed by accused persons were scheduled for the day. The court adjourned bail pleas of Azhar Qadeer, Haseeb and Shahbaz until the next hearing.

The cases, including tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics, were scheduled for the day. A case of Tariq Kazmi allegedly involved in mobile smuggling was also scheduled for the hearing in which the court recorded statements of the parties and adjourned it for next week.

The cases of Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Jhelum were scheduled for the day.
