LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 19 important cases on Thursday and issued necessary orders and directions on many cases.
On the day in the court of Chaudary Ameer Muhamamd Khan, a total of 19 cases were scheduled for hearing, including two pre-arrest bail pleas of accused persons Muhammad Jamil and Raheem Anwar. The court extended bail pleas for new dates. Customs Court also adjourned bail plea of Wajid Sharif in a case of alleged smuggling. Wajid is in jail on judicial trial for 14 days.
Customs Court also adjourned many cases of witnesses on cases of smuggling. Total six cases were scheduled for the day hearing. The cases, including tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics, were scheduled for the day.
