LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling Lahore rejected the bail plea of a alleged smuggler here on Monday.
The special court heard 20 different cases including smuggling, tax evasion and narcotics on the same day and issued necessary directions after hearing the arguments of the counsel for appellants/respondents.
In a case against Muhammad Nadeem Mirza an alleged smuggler, court rejected his plea for bail, besides sending him back to jail until next hearing of the case. Nadeem Mirza was arrested by customs authorities on violation of the customs rules.
Special Judge of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling also directed the lawyers of different parties to complete their arguments in next hearings.
