Customs Court hears 21 cases of smuggling, customs, tax evasion

LAHORE: Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 21 different cases which were scheduled for hearing, including pre-arrest bail pleas and recording of statements of the witnesses.

The special court has adjourned many cases, including hearing of bail pleas of three suspects until the next hearing.

Cases scheduled for hearing on Saturday including tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics. A case of narcotics against Shehroz Khan was also adjourned. He was allegedly involved in smuggling.

Cases of pre-arrest bail pleas of two accused were also scheduled in the Customs Court for but the court adjourned these cases until next hearing.

The court also proceeded on statements of witnesses on three different cases on the day. The cases, including those of tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics, were scheduled for the day’s hearing.
