LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 21 different cases that were scheduled for hearing, including pre-arrest bail pleas, and recorded statements of the witnesses.
The court adjourned many cases, including hearing of bail pleas of three suspects, until the next hearing.
Cases scheduled for Saturday included those of tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics. A case of narcotics against Shehroz Khan was also adjourned. He was allegedly involved in smuggling.
Cases of pre-arrest bail pleas of two accused were also scheduled in the Customs Court for their pre-arrest bails in an alleged smuggling case, but the court adjourned these cases.
The court also proceeded on statements of witnesses in three different cases on the day.
