Customs Court hears 21 cases on Tuesday

LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs, Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 21 cases on Tuesday and adjourned the same until the next date of hearing.

Sources informed Customs Today that those cases which were scheduled for hearing, includes tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics.

Special Court also heard pre arrest bail pleas of Muhammad Nadeem, Muhammad Munir and Saif ul Rehman and adjourned it for next date. The Court also issued arrest warrants of accused Naseem Ahmad who is allegedly involved in tax evasion case.

The special court also ordered prosecution teams to complete investigation challans of the cases at the earliest to enable court to start proceedings of the cases. The court also proceeded on statements and witnesses in four different cases.

Most of the cases which were heard belonged to Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Jhelum.
