LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 23 different cases, including pre-arrest bail pleas, besides recording the statements of the witnesses here on Tuesday.
The Customs Court adjourned pre-arrest bail pleas filed by Muhammad Shahzad and Muhammad Altaf in a case of currency smuggling. They were caught rend handed when they were trying to smuggle it abroad. The post-arrest bail pleas of two accused involved in tax evasion were also rescheduled. These two cases were filed by the Gujranwala and Faisalabad regions.
The court also recorded the statements of witnesses in five different cases and also heard the cases of tax evasion, smuggling and narcotics on the day.
