Customs Court hears 27 cases on Monday

LAHORE: In the Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling, 27 different cases were scheduled for hearing on Monday.

The Special Court adjourned the hearing of pre-arrest bail pleas of Farrukh Shahzad, Kamal Subhani, Munir Ahmad and Abdul Razzaq. The suspects were allegedly involved in smuggling cases.

The court also adjourned the post arrest bail pleas of Iqbal Dastgir, Gul Alam, Anjum Ali and Shamim in different cases. All accused are in jail on judicial remand.

The Customs Court also extends judicial remand of an alleged smuggler Aftab Javed in smuggling case.

The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard important cases of Arbab Khan, Pervez Iqbal, Mirza Iqbal and Akbar Sheikh and adjourned the hearing until next week.

The Customs Court also recorded statements in cases against Abid Butt, Rana Ashiq, Muhammad Rafique and Shaukat Ali.

The cases of Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Jhelum were scheduled for hearing in Customs Court.

The cases, including tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics, were scheduled for the day.
