Customs Court hears 27 cases on Wednesday

LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 27 important cases on Wednesday and issued necessary orders and directions in number of cases.

On Wednesday, 27 cases of different types were scheduled for hearing, including 7 pre-arrest bail pleas of accused persons including Siraj Ali Malik, Muhammad Azam, Gull Muhammad and Muhammad Aslam.

After hearing arguments of different parties issued orders on bail pleas and disposes of a number of pleas while some adjourned for new dates.

Customs Court also adjourned many cases of smuggling. The total cases of such kind were 5 which were scheduled for today. The cases, including tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics, were also scheduled for the day.

The court also proceeded on statements and witnesses on four different cases on the day.
