Customs Court hears 33 cases on Monday, adjourns all of them

LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 33 different cases on Monday and adjourned all of them.

The cases, including those of tax evasion, customs, smuggling and narcotics, were scheduled for the day’s hearing. Cases of different types of tax evasion, duty evasion and mis-declaration were also part of the day’s schedule, in which the judge issued specific directions to the parties for further proceedings.

A case of tax evasion against Abbas Shah and his colleagues was also scheduled for the day, in which the Customs Court recorded the statements of the accused party and Customs Investigation. It was a case of bogus documents in which Customs Intelligence detected a huge tax evasion.

Special Judge of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling Nazeer Ahmad Gajana ordered to adjourn all cases for next days.
