Customs Court hears 33 cases related to tax evasion, smuggling

LAHORE: Special Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 33 cases, Friday pertaining to the tax evasion and smuggling.

Special Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling Judge Nazeer Ahmad Gunjana heard many cases and adjourned number of cases due to the absence of the parties.

Court also adjourned many of the cases mainly because the customs officials had not completed the challans/investigation into the cases.

Judge Nazeer Ahmad Gunjana while hearing these cases asked the authorities concerned to submit the complete challans on the next dates of hearing.

Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling also issued notices in different cases to accused for presenting before court in person to attend the hearing.
