Customs court hears 6 cases on Tuesday

LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard six important cases, including post-arrest bail pleas on Tuesday.

According to the details, six different cases were scheduled for hearing in the court. The cases were adjourned after taking necessary action and issuing directions to the parties. The court adjourned a case against an accused Naseem Ahmad who is on bail from the court. He was allegedly involved in smuggling of household items from Afghanistan to Lahore. Court has adjourned the case until next week. In another case of smuggling against Muhammad Asghar Ali, the court has said that customs must submit interrogation challan in next hearing of the case in coming week.

A case of framing of charges against an accused Humayon Rasheed was also scheduled for hearing on Tuesday that the court has also adjourned for next date as relevant parties did not appear before the court.

Cases of Lahore, Gujranwala were scheduled for hearing on Tuesday including a case of anti-narcotics. Chaudhary Ameer Muhammad Khan also adjourned a case against Muhammad Akram after recording the statements of witnesses.
