KARACHI: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling as well as Drug Court have find two convicts of medicine smuggling.
According to the details, the Anti-Corruption Circle of the Federal Investigation Agency registered a case against Ghulam Muhammad and Muhammad Adil and submitted their challan before the Custom Court. The court imposed a fine of Rs 300,000 on each of them.
The Drug Court also imposed a fine of Rs 500,000 on each of them and sentenced them to eight months imprisonment, which they had already undergone during the trial.
It may be mentioned here that the Customs Adjudication collector had earlier imposed a fine of Rs 500,000 on each suspect under Import and Export Control Act, 1950.
