KARACHI: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-smuggling on Monday arraigned a number of customs clearing agents in over 24 cases pertaining to the Afghan Transit Trade (ATT) container pilferage scam.
When Judge Syed Faiz Rasool Rashdi took up around 32 cases, he was informed that the court had already framed charges against Muhammad Nadeem Qureshi, Raziq Dino, Minhaj Ali, Zahid Islam and other accused persons in eight cases. He, therefore, framed the charges against the accused persons in the remaining cases.
A large number of cases were registered against the customs clearing agents and others for their alleged involvement in Afghan Transit Trade (ATT) container pilferage scam.
