Customs court issues non-bailable arrest warrant for absconder

KARACHI: Customs Court Judge Syed Faiz Rasool Rashdi issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for absconding accused Zulfiqar Ali Kambho s/o Jan Muhammad Kambho who was booked in a case of non-duty paid Wrangler jeep.

During the hearing, Investigation Officer Syed Mohsin Ali appeared before the court and filed an interim charge sheet which was accepted by the court and copies were supplied to the accused.

According to the prosecution, on 09/08/2016 on a tip-off, staff of the Anti-Smuggling Department traced out the Wrangler jeep registration No: FB-4078 Model 1990 parked at M/s HSKB Showroom near Jan Mart, Khalid Bin Walid Road, Karachi.

As per FIR, after the fulfilling of all the requirements, a case was registered in violation of Section 32, 32A, 79, 155 B, C, D and 192 of the Customs Act-1969 punishable under Clauses 9, 14, 14/A, 86, 156 (i) ibid.
