Customs Court issues warrants for suspected smuggler

LAHORE: The Customs Court has ordered an alleged smuggler, Rai Jahangir, to appear in court within 10 days, as he is wanted by the authorities in a smuggling case.

According to details, the Faisalabad Customs Collectorate had registered a case against him in early 2015, but they had failed to arrest him.

The suspect was found involved in smuggling, after which the customs authorities had registered a case against.

Now, the court has issued warrants for him and directed him to present himself in court within 10 days after the issuance of the notice; otherwise he will be declared as a proclaimed offender.

As per data available with Customs Today, Rai Jahangir is a resident of Hafizabad.

The Special Court of Nazeer Ahmad Gajana had issued the warrants for the accused and directed him to appear before the court; otherwise he could be included in proclaimed offenders’ list.
