LAHORE: The Customs Court Thursday presented a deserted look as numbers of parties in different cases were absent on first working day after Eid ul Azha.
It may be mentioned here that Lahore High Court (LHC) and sub-ordinate courts in Punjab remained close on account of Eid from September 12 to 14 including the special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling.
On first day after Eid, the customs court adjourned all the cases for new dates without any proceedings as numbers of employees of the courts were also absent.
According to a LHC notification, the LHC principal seat, its allied benches including Bahawalpur, Multan and Rawalpindi and civil & sessions court in Punjab will observe Eid ul Azha holidays from Monday September 12 to 15.
