LAHORE: The Special Customs Court of Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard 35 different cases on Monday and adjourned a number of them until the next dates of hearing.
On Monday, Special Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard many cases from all the divisions. Applicants were available in the courts from cities like Multan, Bahawalpur and Okara. However, the court adjourned many of the cases mainly because the customs officials had not completed the challans/investigation into the cases.
Judge Nazeer Ahmad Gunjana while hearing these cases asked the authorities concerned to submit the complete challans on the next dates of hearing.
A majority of the cases was related to anti-smuggling. One case related to narcotic, and another regarding tax evasion was also heard on Monday.
