LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has rejected the application of the Kasur police, seeking physical remand of three alleged alcohol smugglers.
According to the details, three accused Yaseen, Muratab Ali and Muhammad Sharaft were arrested by the Kasur police in a case pertaining to the smuggling of 58 bottles of Indian alcohol. The police sources said that all the accused were professional smugglers and after a long time they were caught red handed on international border with India.
Investigation team of Kasur police presented them before the court of Chaudhary Ameer Muhammad Khan and sought physical remand but the court rejected the application and directed the police team to present them before the anti-narcotics court for further action.
