LAHORE: Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling disposed of bail application of the owner of King Packages Company Faisalabad involved in sales tax evasion case but the accused fled from the scene when officials tried to arrest him.
According to the details, Special Judge Ameer Muhammad Khan heard the case of the company where officials of Federal Board of Revenue presented all the record before the court and informed the court that Shakeel Ahmad, owner of the company was not paying tax for many years despite having taxable income.
After the scrutiny of the record, the court rejected the bail plea of the accused on which the accused ran away from the scene deceitfully in order to avoid his arrest.
Another case the special judge has rejected the bail application of Shabir Hussain allegedly involved in CDs smuggling case.
