Customs Court seeks challan in currency smuggling case

LAHORE: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has directed the Sialkot Customs Investigation and Prosecution team to complete investigation challan against a currency smuggling suspect.

According to the details, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) staff deputed the Sialkot International Airport Limited arrested a passenger namely Irfan Altaf following the recovery of foreign currency worth Rs 37 million from him. The officials recovered around 180,000 Euro and 58,000 Dirham, which he intended to smuggle to Sharjah, UAE.
