LAHORE: The Special Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling has asked the investigation and prosecution authorities to complete interim challan of the suspect involved in alcohol smuggling case.
According to sources of Customs Today smuggler Yar Muhammad Yari was booked by the Chenab Rangers while he was making an attempt to smuggle Indian alcohol at Muradkay village near Kasur. Rangers mobile team was on routine patrolling across the border while they noticed some suspicious activity on international border and intercepted a smuggler. The smuggler started retaliation with mobile team. During retaliation one smuggler flee from the spot while one was arrested by the Rangers. 100 bottles of alcohol were also recovered from the spot.
The Customs court has approved his bail and he has released from jail. Now the Customs Court has asked the concerned authorities to complete interim challan of the case and submit it as soon as possible.
