Although the intelligence team had asked the judge for a two-day physical remand, the court ordered a 14-day judicial remand.

Muhammad Sadique was allegedly involved in evasion of regulatory duty to the tune of Rs 4.1 million. He has not been paying the liable dues to the department even after the verdict of the Supreme Court of Pakistan in the said case.

The FBR Intelligence and Investigation wing issued several notices to the accused but he did not pay the evaded amount, on which the department arrested him by taking legal action and presented him before the tax court. The intelligence team sought physical remand for interrogation but he was sent on a judicial remand by the court.
