Customs Court sends drug smuggler to jail

ISLAMABAD: The Special Court of Anti-Narcotics heard different smuggling cases and sentenced jail imprisonment and fine to a drug smuggler.

According to details, the Special Court of Anti-Narcotics Judge Chaudhary Anwar Ahmad Khan has heard different smuggling cases. While announcing its verdict the Court sentenced 1 year jail sentence to accused Khan Muhammad in heroin smuggling case and imposed a fine of Rs 15,000 also.

It is important to mention here that Muhammad Khan was arrested by ANF during an anti-smuggling operation which led to recovery of 650 grams of heroin from his possession.

It is important to mention here that ANF has recently arrested three members Habibullah, Bilal Suleman and Zeeshan Tariq of a gang involved in supply of drugs to academic institutions in the twin cities. The ANF team recovered 640 grams of charas, 85 grams of amphetamine (ice) and ecstasy tablets from their possession which were used to supply to students in the twin cities.
