Customs Court smuggling suspect as proclaimed offender

LAHORE: The Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling Court has declared one Jahan Khan as proclaimed proclaimed offender under Customs Act 1969.

According to sources, Customs Intelligence Faisalabad registered a case against the suspect for allegedly smuggling different items through Peshawar and other routes.  An FIR was registered against Khan under section 156 of the Pakistan Custom Act 1969. The Customs Court sent many notices to the accused to appear before the court but he remained absent even for months.
