Customs Court to hear 28 cases today

KARACHI: The Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling will take up 28 cases related to custom matters on Thursday.

According to the cause list, 9 out of 28 cases were fixed for formal hearing of accused namely Faisal Ilahi and others, Waqas Ahmed and others, Ovais Siddique and others, Arif Humayun and others, Murad Baksh and others, Mir Ahmed and others, Asad Khan and others, Vikey Kumar and Javaid and others.

Seventeen out of overall 28 cases were fixed for prosecution evidences against accused Muhammad Irfan & others, Aamir & others, Syed Agha Jan & others, Shakeel Ahmed & others, Rao Khalid Qamer &others, Hasan Ullah, Muhammad Ashraf, Malik Abdul Qayyum, Shakeel Ahmed Siddiqui, Muhammad Rafiq, Vikey Kumar &others,  Muhammad Abdullah Paracha &others, Muhammad Riaz &others and Maqsood Alam & others.

Remaining two cases were fixed for confirmation of bails of accused namely as Abdul Hafeez & others, and Huma Nadeem & others in cases of tax evasion and smuggling.
