ISLAMABAD: Special Customs Court will hear cases of tax evasion against Smart Zone and a courier company on November 4, Wednesday.
Sources told Customs Today that both companies already submitted their plea according to Customs Act section 265 K praying the Court for acquittal. Both companies adopted the stance that all the proofs and evidences produced by Customs authorities in the Court are false.
It is pertinent to mention here that Customs Adjudication already imposed a penalty of Rs 10 crore on the chief executive officers of both the companies and ordered to seize all accessories and items. There are strong chances that Customs Appellate Tribunal may declare verdict on the cases of courier company and Smart Zone on the same day.
