Customs Court to resume hearing of cases from today

KARACHI: Custom Court judge Faiz Rasool Rashdi will take up 22 customs and income tax related cases after 14-day summer vocations on Monday (today).

According to the roster, Customs Court judge Faiz Rasool Rashdi will rejoin the court from August 1, 2016 for regular hearing and the office has fixed 22  cases for hearing and intimation notices have been issued to the all the parties concerns.

Earlier, the Customs Court Taxation & Anti-Smuggling Karachi had announced 14-day summer vocations from July 18th to 31st, 2016. According to the notification, the Customs Court Judge Syed Faiz Rasool Rashdi had announced fourteen -day summer vacations which had been started from 18th July 2016 and will continue till 31st July, 2016.

During the summer vacations of Custom Court judge Faiz Rasool Rashdi, Special Banking Court judge Arshad Noor Khan was the acting judge of the Custom Court and taken up only remand and emergency matters. It is necessary to mention here that lot of important cases were pending for hearing due to summer vacations.
