KARACHI: The legal proceedings at the Special Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling remained suspended as the lawyers went on strike against the killing of their colleague.
Around 30 cases listed for hearing on Monday were put off. However, the urgent matters were taken up in the chamber of the judge. At the request of legal fraternity, Judge Syed Faiz Rasool Rashdi suspended the court proceedings.
The lawyers’ community in line with the protest call given by Sindh Bar
Council observed the boycott to protest the killing of Syed Ameer Hyder Shah, who was shot dead in Karachi on Friday last week.
