KARACHI: Customs Cricket Academy (CCA), with the collaboration of Jalaluddin Cricket Academy (JCA), is going to organise “Night Indoor Cricket Festival” from May 23 to June 6 at JCA, Zaman Town Korangi No.4.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Collector Enforcement-South Muhammad Nazim Saleem said that the indoor cricket was a variation of standard cricket played all over the world, however in Pakistan first time indoor cricket tournament was being introduced by JCA and CCA keeping in view the fever of the world cup.
He said that the ‘Indoor Cricket Festival’ will provide an opportunity to those want to show their cricket skills in an enjoyable environment; adding that it was a fun but tough and competitive game.
On the occasion, Jalaluddin said that an indoor cricket arena was setup in JCA to arrange these matches under the lights side by side world cup matches will also be shown on a big screen to enhance the festival mood of indoor cricket.
He further said that the rules of the indoor cricket were designed to provide an excitement of the game, fight and win, adding that the indoor cricket is played on a rectangular, artificial grass surfaced court.
On the occasion, Jalaluddin informed that 16teams would participate in the event adding that 27matches would be played during 15days of tournament.
