Customs DGTR holds awareness session for National Single Window

MULTAN: Directorate General of Training and Research (Customs) has organized National Single Window awareness session for middle and senior level Officers (Bs-17 and above of different Customs collectorates.

The Directorate General of Training and Research (DGTR) Regional Office Lahore has organized an awareness session on “National Single Window “in collaboration with USAID. The training session was conducted for Pakistan Regional Economic Integration Activity (PREIA) for middle and senior officers of Central Region Collectorates.

It is important to mention here that National Single Window has become a core instrument to facilitate trade, simplify procedures and implement electronic business and about 50 countries have implemented the National Single Window system.

Pakistan has ratified the trade facilitation agreement with the World Trade Organisation and the NSW is one of the steps in that direction to promote trade in the country. The National Single window will provide a comprehensive solution for imports, exports, transit trade, trade through border customs stations and air cargo. Different Officers from various Collectorates of Central Region has attended the awareness training workshop.
