Customs Dry Port Azakhel to become operational for clearance from Dec 28

PESHAWAR: Collectorate of Customs Appraisement and Facilitation Collector Mohammad Saleem has issued public notice regarding operationalization of customs dry port Azakhel, Pirpiai, district Nowshera for clearance of imports and exports cargo.

The public notice issued in this regard read “all impoters, exporters, clearing agents, trade bodies, government departments and organizations are hereby informed that handling/clearance of all sots of imports and exports cargo will be shifted from Railways Dry Port, Peshawar to the newsly established customs dry port Azakhel, Pirpiai, district Nowshera with effect from 28.12.2020.

The traders who are desirous to clear their cargo from customs dry port Azakhel will require to manifest their  TP shipments in accordance with the new code PAKI.

The customs operations for processing/clearance of cargo from customs dry port, Azakhel, Pirpiai, Nowshera shall also commence with effect from 28.12.2020.

It is, therefore, informed to all concerned that no new TP shall be filed for Railways Dry Port, Peshawar with effect from 28.12.2020. The TP consignments manifested for Railways dry port, Peshawar until 27.12.2020 shall be processed and cleared from the same dry port. Once all such  TP consignments are processed/cleared, the customs operations will cease to function at Railways Dry Port, Peshawar for handling of new TP consignments. Thereafter, customs will address only legacy issues/matters at Railways dry port, Peshawar.
