Customs earns Rs7025.14m against assigned target of Rs5776.56m

FAISALABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate Appraisement surpassed the revenue target for first eight months (July-February) 2016-17 and collected Rs7025.14million against the assigned revenue collection target of Rs5776.56million.

According to details, the Customs Appraisement collected revenue from customs duty, sales tax, income tax and federal excise duty during the period.

The custom appraisement was assigned Rs719million revenue collection target under the head of sales tax but it surpassed the target by 69 percent and collected Rs495.71million during said period. Under the head of customs duty, it collected Rs211.96million against the assigned target of Rs158million.

The Customs Appraisement Faisalabad also generated Rs20 million income tax against the assigned target of Rs13.05million that was achieved up to 65 percent while it collected Rs0.06million federal excise duty (FED).
