Customs employees should work hard for development of country: Collector Asif Mehmood Jah

FAISALABAD: Customs Collectorate held a flag hoisting ceremony to mark the 71th Independence Day of Pakistan held at the Customs House.

Collector of Customs Asif Mahmood Jah, Muhammad Shabir was the chief guest while a large number of customs officers including ex Member Customs Tausif Qureshi, Additional Collector Muhammad Saeed Asad, Deputy Collector Aneeqa Afzal, Superintendent Rana Mukhtar Ahmed Faisalabad Dry Port chairman Mushtaq Cheema and others were present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering Muhammad Shabir said that Pakistan achieved in the results of countless sacrifices by our ancestors and every one of us should work hard for its development and growth.

Collector Asif  Mahmood Jah said that Pakistan has given us everything and in return we should also work for its wellbeing and development.

He added that when Pakistan came into being its people had faced numerous hardships and sufferings but today Pakistan has everything but the journey does not end here rather we have a long way to go to achieve more millstones. He urged the customs officers to work hard for the growth and advancement of the country and the Customs department.

Customs Superintendent Rana Mukhtar Ahmed pledged to work for the improvement and betterment of the Customs department and for the country.

On the occasion national anthem was played and all the customs officers expressed their allegiance and adherence with both Customs Department and Pakistan.  It is necessary to mention here that Collector Asif Jah planted around one hundred trees on Independence Day.
