Customs, E&T to allot 500 tampered luxury cars to public officers

LAHORE: Collectorate of Customs Lahore and Excise and Taxation Department have decided to allot confiscated tampered 500 luxury vehicles to public sector officers, sources told Customs Today .

Sources told that the decision has been taken in a joint meeting held between the Customs and Excise and Taxation department. It is said that Excise and Taxation department has evolved strategy to register the vehicles under E&T department.

It is informed that more than 500 tampered vehicles have been confiscated by the Customs department during various crackdown.

Bother department have decided to make joint Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and allot the number of vehicles to their owners in the next two month. These vehicles are said not to be auctioned as the department cannot registration is not possible.
