Customs Export to start second phase of issuance of rebate claims soon

KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorate Export is going to start the second phase of issuance of rebate claims to the exporters.

According to sources, the Collector Export Muhammad Yaqoob Mako has asked the Collectorate to start the second phase of issuance of rebate claims from next month.

The sources informed Customs Today that the federal government has taken serious interest in order to issue the rebate claims to the exporters which are in pending since long, adding that the Collectorate has already issued billions of rupees rebate claims to the exporters on the directives of Finance Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar.

Responding to a query, the sources said that the Collector-MCC Export Yaqoob Mako has asked to start the second phase by the month of February-2017.

“In the second phase, the Collectorate would issue rebate claims worth millions of rupees to the exporters and third phase of issuance of claims to the exporters would be started by the start of fourth quarters of the Fiscal Year2016-17”, sources added.
