Customs Exports issues notice to M/s Abuzer Garments and Exports

KARACHI: The Customs Exports has launched a crackdown against tax evaders and issued show cause notice to M/s Abuzer Garments and Exports allegedly involved in tax evasion.

Customs Exports official told Customs Today that the department issued notice to the said company because the company cleared six consignments during March and April but did not deposit tax. Sources said that the company is involved in tax evasion of Rs 1.1 million and now the Customs Exports has issued notice to deposit tax amount with fine of Rs 55,000.

It is pertinent to mention here the department had issued many notices but the company remained failed to deposit their tax amount. With the help of its clearing agent Amar Jan misused the SRO 533 which proved during the audit of the company. On this the department issued noticed to submit their tax amount with fine in 7 days otherwise it take strict action against the company.
