Customs Exports recovers Rs 4.2m from companies involved in tax evasion

KARACHI: The Customs Exports has recovered Rs 4.2 million from different companies which were allegedly involved in tax evasion.

Sources told Customs Today that these companies deposited evaded amount of tax and duties in response to the notices issued to them during September. Sources said that the Customs Export recently issued a show cause notice to the management of M/s Ghaffar Aluminum and Steel Works. The company imported different consignments of aluminum sheets and availed undue concessions and benefits by using wrong SRO and caused a loss of Rs 1,235,000 to national kitty.
