Customs Exports recovers Rs 98,000 from M/s Nabiha Chemicals & Exports

KARACHI: The Customs Exports has recovered evaded taxes and duties to the tune of Rs 98,000 from M/s Nabiha Chemicals and Exports.

Sources told Customs Today that during scrutiny of import data it was revealed that the company availed undue benefits and concessions by importing different consignments of textile products during September. The company misuse SRO 566 and also used wrong PCT heading and caused a loss of Rs 98,000 to the national exchequer.

After detecting tax evasion, Customs Exports authorities issued final notice to the management of M/s Nabiha Chemicals and Exports and directed them to clear the outstanding amount of taxes and duties at the earliest. In response to their notice the management of M/s Nabiha Chemicals and Exports deposited the evaded amount of Rs 98,000.

Sources said that recently M/s Nasir Textile and Knitwear company also cleared their outstanding amount of taxes. The company imported different consignments by using wrong PCT heading.
