Customs Faisalabad auctions four lots; rejects 14 bids due to lower offers

FAISALABAD: The Customs Directorate of the Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad has earned Rs1.6million through an auction of seized items.

Four out of 18 lots were auctioned off on December 17, 2017 while bids for remaining 14 lots were rejected by the authority concerned due to lower offers.

The customs sold a lot comprising 791.58 square meters of ceramic tiles of Kashi Eram brand of Iran against a bid of Rs410000, cigarette of various brands valued at Rs660000 while a Toyota Corolla car No: AAN-772 worth Rs450000. This vehicle was impounded in case No: 02/2017.

People from various cities have participated in the public sale. Moreover, the customs intelligence directorate already expedited its efforts to collect the outstanding dues from defaulters. Intelligence Officer Mansoor Nasir supervised the auction.
