Customs Faisalabad collects Rs 60.78 million revenue in Q1

FAISALABAD: Model Customs Collectorates (MCC) has registered 67 cases of smuggling during the first three months of the fiscal year 2015-16 and collected Rs 60.78 million.
Source told Customs Today that Collector MCC Faisalabad Zulfiqar Ali Chaudhry has improved environment in all departments as a result of which the Anti-smuggling organization (ASO) has shown a tremendous performance in terms of confiscating contraband items during the first quarter 2015-16.
The sources further said that the MCC Faisalabad collected over Rs 60.78 million during the first quarter of fiscal year 2015-16 by registering 67 cases. The MCC has collected Rs 29.100 million revenue from 38 confiscated vehicles and Rs 31.68 million from 29 contraband goods.
Sources told Customs Today that the ASO confiscated the contraband items during different raids in Faisalabad, Sargodha, Mainwali, Sara-e- Muhajir and Jhang. The MCC Faisalabad is hopeful of achieving its target by the next month of fiscal year 2015-16, sources added.
