Customs Faisalabad seizes non-duty paid Hino truck

FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation impounded smuggled  non duty paid Hino mini truck and loaded with Foreign origin zeera. The market value of confiscated truck is Rs 15,00,000/-.

Sources told Customs Today that Additional Director Customs Faisalabad Mrs. Azmat Tahira received credible information regarding above said smuggled vehicle.

She constituted a raiding party comprising Muhammad Tahir Iqbal (SIO), Muhammad Saleem, Mansoor Nasir, Farzand (IO), Masood Iqbal, Ghulam ghous, Muhammad Iqbal  and Mukhtar Ahmed (sepoys ).

The Customs team intercepted a Hino mini truck bearing registration number LES-9050 near Kamalpur Interchange Sargodha Road and asked the owner and driver of the vehicle who were identified as Muhammad Latif son of Abdul Rasheed  and Ishtiaq Ahmad son of Mushtaq Ahmad to produce legal documents regarding possession of vehicle and zeera but they failed to produce the same. The Customs team arrested the accused persons and registered a case against them.
