Faisalabad Customs seizes Toyota Grande car

FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and investigation has impounded non-duty paid Toyota Grande car.

The market value of the seized vehicle is Rs 3 million involving duty and taxes Rs 1.8 million.

Sources told Customs Today, that Deputy Director Customs Intelligence Rana Irfan Shouqat received a credible information about the smuggling of the said vehicle.

After receiving information, Director Customs constituted a special team comprising Intelligence Officer Irshad Ali, Mansoor Nasir, Muhammad Nasrullah, Mohsin Raza Shah and with Muhammad Shahbaz, Muhammad Muzamil Hussain, and also Zeeshan Farooq sepoy.

The intelligence team impounded Toyota Grande mark car bearing registration no: AKN-474 Sindh Model 2004 near By pass Samunderi Road and asked its owner who was identified as Abdul Rashid to produce legal documents regarding possession of the vehicle but the owner failed to provide the same. Customs authorities seized the vehicle and registered a case against the owner.
