Customs foils a bid to smuggle 68 smartphones at Lahore airport

LAHORE: Model Customs Collectorate Lahore Preventive’s officials at Allama Iqbal International Airport have foiled a bid to smuggle over 68 smartphones into Pakistan.

Customs officials said that on the information conveyed through Collector Mukarram Jah Ansari, the staff deployed at the airport searched a passenger’s luggage and recovered 68 smartphones

As per details, the passenger was coming from New York to Lahore who was held at international arrival hall of Lahore airport.

They added that a case has been registered in this regard and the mobiles have been seized, while further investigation is underway.
