LAHORE: Pakistan Customs foiled a bid to smuggle cell phones into Pakistan at Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore.
According to sources, an accused was coming from Sri Lanka carrying 43 cell phones in his luggage illegally. While checking the luggage, customs authorities recovered cell phones worth hundreds of thousand rupees.
Accused was trying to clear the cell phones through green channel instead of red channel and customs held him on suspicion to check his luggage.
Customs has taken the accused in custody for further interrogation.
