Customs foils attempt to smuggle heroin to Saudi Arabia

ISLAMABAD: The Customs authorities deployed at Benazir Bhutto International Airport Islamabad have foiled an attempt to smuggle half kilogram heroin to Saudi Arabia and arrested accused Nazar Hussain son of Abdullah.

Sources told Customs Today that Deputy Collector Customs Shahid Jan received secret information that an attempt will be made to smuggle heroin to Saudi Arabia via Saudi Airline Flight No. EK-615 which was bound for Madinah. He immediately constituted a customs team to check all the passengers thoroughly. During the checking process, the customs authorities recovered half kilogram of heroin from the luggage of Nazar Hussain who belongs to Chiniot.
