PESHAWAR: Customs has foiled the smuggling of millions of dollars worth of currency smuggling at Torkham border and arrested three accused smugglers.
In the first raid, customs authorities while foiling smuggling of millions of US dollars and Saudi Riyals also arrested an accused identified as Zabihullah son of Haji Dil Agha.
In the second raid, the customs authorities foiled the smuggling of 1.7 million Pakistani currencies and arrested the alleged Afghan smuggler Sher Khan son of Ziarat, resident of Jalalabad, Afghanistan, while in third similar of attempt of the smuggling of attempt of Pakistani currency worth Rs 4 million from Afghanistan to Pakistan. The customs authorities also arrested Afghan national Said Jalal son of Asadullah.
