ISLAMABAD: Customs officials Monday foiled a bid to smuggle drugs outside the country at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport and arrested a Canadian national, Brain.
The officials recovered heroin and crystal methamphetamine, more popularly known ‘Ice and Glass’, concealed inside the shoes of the accused. He was attempting to smuggle the drugs to Sharjah, UAE.
The value of seized contraband has been estimated at Rs15 million, officials said, adding that a case has been registered against the accused.
